The Central Intelligence Agency, United States of America has confirmed a request from one Aaron Greenspan, seeking some information about Nigeria’s President,Mr Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
In a letter addressed to the requester by Anthony. J. Capitos, Information and Privacy Coordinator of CIA with reference No. F-2023-01008, the intelligence agency acknowledged receipt of the request for information.
The letter reads, “On 23 March 2023, the Office of the Information and Privacy Coordinator received your same day correspondence, submitted on behalf of your client, seeking records under the Freedom of Information Act, for materials concerning, Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Mueez Adegboyega Akande a.k.a Adegboyega Mueez Akande, both Nigerian citizens, from January 1, 1985 – December 31, 2021.
“This letter serves to advise you that, during a recent shelf review, we discovered we had not acknowledged receipt of your request. We apologize for this administrative oversight, and assure you that we have placed your request in our queue in the order in which it was received.
“This office assigned your request the reference number provided above. Citing this number in future correspondence will allow us to more efficiently locate your case information.
“In the event that we have questions or require additional information or clarification from you to proceed with processing your request, a representative will contact you. Unless you object, this office will search for CIA-originated records only up to and including the date that the Agency begins its search.
“To check the status of your request, please visit: https://www.cia.gov/readingroom/request/status and input the reference number provided above or call this office at (703) 613-1287.”
